Delegation composed of the representatives of Asturias Foreign Trade Promotion Agency and five regional companies visited Yerevan.

On October 5, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Emil Tarasyan received International Promotion Manager of Asturias Foreign Trade Promotion Agency Maria Angeles Alvarez Lopez, International Promotion Adviser Belinda Ordiz Villar and the representative of the Agency in the Russian Federation and CIS Maria Melgares.

The meeting was attended by the Head of Industry Development Department of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments Armen Yeganyan and other officials of the Ministry.

Maria Angeles Alvarez Lopez briefly represented the economic situation of Asturias, the activity of Foreign Trade Promotion Agency and added that the goal of the visit of the representatives of Agency is to develop commercial relations between two countries.

Maria Melgares informed that several meetings between the representatives of Asturias metallurgical, construction, agriculture companies and corresponding Armenian companies will take place.

Deputy Minister Emil Tarasyan greeted the guests and expressed the willingness of the Ministry to support the establishment of relations between business communities of two countries. According to the Deputy Minister there is the importance of exchange of information and establishment of relations between the businessmen of two countries.

Emil Tarasyan represented the main directions of economy of the Republic of Armenia, activity of the free economic zones of Armenia, stressed the importance of technological solutions and scientific innovation in production, answered to the questions of the guests.

At the end of the meeting the sides decided to organize exchange of information on future cooperation and suggestions.
