On October 6, Delegation headed by the Minister of Economy of RA Suren Karayan participated in the 6th Session of Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Delegation of Armenia was composed of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of RA Shavarsh Kocharyan, Deputy Minister of Culture of RA Artur Poghosyan, representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
As a Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Minister of Economy of RA Suren Karayan delivered welcoming speech.
Expressing gratitude for the welcome in Kazakhstan, the Minister mentioned that the Armenian side stresses the importance of activity of the Intergovernmental Commission between Armenia and Kazakhstan as a platform of cooperation between two countries in the field of trade and economy, innovation, etc.
“We have a huge potential, which can promote bilateral trade and economic relations, raising them to a new level. The use of unrealized possibilities of cooperation in the field of foreign trade, attracting investments, industrial and technological cooperation will have good impact on the development and growth of the partnership of our countries,” mentioned the Minister Suren Karayan in his speech.
Issues on cooperation development between two countries in the field of trade, economy, agriculture, transport, tourism, culture, etc. have been discussed during the Session.
The Armenian side represented directions aimed at deepening trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan. The sides noted the importance of exchange of experience in the field of business, small and medium entrepreneurship.
The 7th Session of Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan will take place in Yerevan in 2017.
Session protocol has been signed and the directions for further cooperation development have been set.
