On October 24, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the Head of METRO AG Office Russia Alexey Grigoriev. Issues on cooperation development have been discussed during the meeting.

Alexey Grigoriev represented the activity of METRO AG Office Russia, mentioned that the membership of Armenia to EAEU has opened new horizons for cooperation development.

Being represented in more than 27 countries and having a wide range of markets in Russia, METRO AG Office Russia already works with a lot of Armenian manufacturers and currently sees great opportunities for cooperation development in new fields. Alexey Grigoriev informed the Minister, that representatives of the company had several meetings with manufacturers from Yerevan and regions of Armenia and are quite impressed with the quality of the Armenian products, so they already outline areas of cooperation.

Minister Suren Karayan expressed satisfaction with the interest of the company and mentioned that everything is being done to make the Armenian product competitive. The Minister represented activity implemented in the field of trade and quality infrastructure, assured that they will be finalized in accordance with international standards and stressed that Armenia is open for effective cooperation development.

At the end of the meeting the sides reaffirmed willingness to develop cooperation.
