On October 24, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan received the Team of Local Economy and Infrastructure Development Project (LEIDP) of the World Bank headed by Ahmed Eiweida.

Issues on the LEIDP implementation deadlines have been discussed. Minister Suren Karayan expressed gratitude for the support of the World Bank and mentioned that the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia is ready to implement the activity of Local Economy and Infrastructure Development Project and stresses the importance of the support of the World Bank.

Ahmed Eiweida expressed gratitude for the meeting which is an opportunity to discuss current problems. Mr. Eiweida also represented sub-projects of LEIDP, stressing the importance of public awareness of the activity implemented in the field of local economy.

At the end of the meeting the sides reaffirmed the importance of the project for the balanced development of communities and tourism promotion.
