On November 17, a meeting-discussion on possibilities of increasing efficiency of cooperation with the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the RA.

Minister Suren Karayan in his introductory speech said that the aim of the meeting is to create a platform, around which the cooperation will be continued. The Minister expressed hope that the joint discussions will have a regular character, and they will enable to identify the problems and obstacles of the sector and overcome them.

The President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) Arsen Ghazaryan expressed gratitude to the Minister for a meeting with the members of the Union and noted that the Union is ready to cooperate actively in favor of improving the business environment, increasing the investments and developing the entrepreneurship.

During the discussion, the members of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia presented their remarks regarding the existing problems.

During the meeting it was decided to organize separate thematic discussions with the representatives of the industrial sectors. As a result the raised issues will be studied by the Ministry and given specific suggestions and solutions.

Before the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the RA Tigran Khachatryan and the President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) Arsen Ghazaryan answered to the questions from the representatives of mass media.
