A meeting-discussion with the heads of foreign investments companies in Armenia was held at the Ministry of economic development and investments of the RA.

Minister Suren Karayan in his speech noted that the aim of the meeting is to discuss the prospects of formation a more attractive investment climate for foreign investments in Armenia. Such dialogue will help to identify the problems and obstacles the investors concerned with and to implement appropriate actions for their solution.

During the discussion the heads of companies with foreign investments presented their observations on current issues, which particularly related to new tax legislation, licensing processes in jewelry industry, time spend on activities carried out by the customs authorities, etc.

General Manager of VivaCell-MTS Ralph Yirikian in his speech said, that it is important to have a periodic meetings with the business community, as there are a number of issues related to import, export, taxes. It can be a platform where mutual proposals can be sound.
