On November 30, RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan received the delegation of the EBRD, headed by Francis Malige, the Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
The Minister briefed the functional changes caused by rename of the Ministry, as well as new vision, in particular the dramatic improvement of the investment climate, institutional protection of them , perspectives of new investments.
The representatives of the EBRD presented their areas of priority, such as high technologies, food and tourism.
According to Francis Malige the EBRD sees great potential for tourism development in Armenia.
The participants of the meeting discussed the perspectives of cooperation around public-private partnership, antimonopoly policy, establishment of business ombudsman institute.
At the end of meeting the Minister expressed gratitude to the EBRD delegation for productive discussion and expressed confidence that the planned projects will become a reality.
