On January 20, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan met the representatives of the pharmaceutical industry of Armenia to discuss their problems and concerns, particularly in respect of access to the market of the Eurasian Economic Union.
During the meeting were presented the opportunities provided by the single market of drugs, as well as processes intended for durg manufacturers, which operate from 1st January of this year in the territory of Eurasian Economic Union.
"Liquor" CJSC offered to take steps towards the establishment of laboratory for clinical trials, which will seriously facilitate the work of the industry.
During the meeting with the Minister were discussed a number of issues raised by the representatives of the companies involved in pharmaceutical industry. The raised issues related to certificates of origin, fight against counterfeit drugs, as well as custom issues.
Suren Karayan urged the meeting participants in case of problems with custom authorities contact with the operative working group of the Ministry.
An agreement was reached to continue the series of meetings in order to give solutions to raised issues.
