On February 13, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan met Margarita Hakobyan, director of "Oxfam's" Armenian office and Arthur Gomktsyan, "Oxygen" agricultural enterprises development project manager.

The Minister was presented with the activities of two organizations aimed at implementation of various development projects in rural communities.

The prospect of cooperation between Ministry and organizations, in particular, support for small farmers in Tavush and Vayots Dzor regions Suren Karayan discussed with Margarita Hakobyan and Arthur Gomktsyan.

The sides discussed the combination of state assistance toolset and agricultural consumer cooperatives needs.

The Minister emphasized the importance of development of rural economies and employment in rural communities, offered through regular meetings to take such action, which will promote the increase of the volume of cooperatives' production and stability of operations.
