The sixth round of negotiations on Armenia-EU new framework agreement on trade and investment has launched

On February 15, the sixth round of negotiations on Armenia-EU new framework agreement on trade and investment has launched in Yerevan.

Armenian negotiation delegation is headed by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Garegin Melkonyan.

The delegation of the European Union is headed by the Head of Unit of Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission Petros Sourmelis.

During the negotiations it is expected to hold discussions on the directions of agreement on “Trade in Services”, “Intellectual Property Rights Protection”, “Sanitary and Phytosanitary measures”, as well as to summarize the negotiations on “Trade in goods”, “Settlement of disputes”, “Transparency”, “Technical Barriers of Trade”, “Customs issues” (including the Protocol on mutual administrative support in customs affairs), “Competitiveness”, “Enterprises with state participation”, “Trade and Sustainable Development”.
