Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Emil Tarasyan received head of radio electronics industry department of the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade Sergey Khakhlov and representatives of Russian delegation of businessmen.

During the meeting were summarized the results of the visit of Russian businessmen to Armenia.

Head of radio electronics industry department of the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade Sergey Khakhlov expressed gratitude for organizing such a comprehensive and productive visit and noted that he was very impressed by the scientific potential of Armenia.

General Director of "Progress JSC NIIMA" Vasily Shpak, " Vice President of "Kraftway Corporation PLC " Viktor Muravyov, Deputy General Director of "Module" scientific-technical center JSC Dmitry Fomin shared their impressions from the visit to YEA Engineering”, “Synopsis”, TCD (Technology & Science Dynamics) companies, as well as National Polytechnic University of Armenia.

Russian businessmen were especially impressed by the capabilities of Armenian companies, chip manufacturing, existing scientific potential in the sphere of engineering, Armenian specialists' high level of technical knowledge, as well as Armenian students with great development potential and interest.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Emil Tarasyan noted that there are wide opportunities for cooperation in terms of developing information technologies, nanotechnologies sphere both in Yerevan and in regions.

During the meeting sides touched upon the possibilities of cooperation in free economic zones.

The sides noted the necessity to continue the cooperation, outline objectives and directions and develop specific business projects using scientific and production capacities of two countries.
