On March 6-7, sessions of steering committees within the framework of EU Budget Support several agreements took place in Yerevan.

Particularly sessions of committees within the framework of EU Budget Support agreements “Support to the Government of Armenia to implement the European Neighborhood Policy Action Plan - Phase II” and “Improving qualifications for better workplaces” took place at the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA. The Co-Chairmen were the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Garegin Melkonyan from the Armenian side and the representative of Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission Vassilis Maragos from the European side.

Sessions of steering committees of EU Budget Support agreements on “Support for agriculture and rural development” and “State finance policy reform program in Armenia” also took place.

Implementation process of the above mentioned agreements and sectoral reforms implemented within the framework of the agreement have been discussed. Issues on support provided by the European Union to the Republic of Armenia for 2017-2020 have also been discussed.
