State Tourism Committee organized discussion on draft amendments to several laws on “Tourism”, “Customs regulation”, “Administrative offenses”, “Licensing” at the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA. Tour-operators took part in the discussion. The draft laws were developed in pursuance of the paragraph 34 of the 2017 Action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Project aims at contributing to the current developments and new challenges in strengthening and improving the competitiveness of the tourism product of Armenia, statistical and informational system improvement, ensuring effective and coordinated cooperation, the facilitation of border crossing procedures, protection and development of competitive market, growth of internal and incoming tourist visits over the next five years, reaching to more than 3.5 million and 2 million, and in 2020 - 2.5 million and 1.5 million.
