State support to expanding textile company

During a Government session the Prime Minister of RA instructed the Minister of Economic Development and investments of RA to contribute to the development of the textile industry in the Lori region, taking into account the existing potential.

Following up on the instructions of the Prime Minister, on April 5, Minister Suren Karayan met the director of "Gloria" company to discuss the company's development plans. The director of garment factory presented a new investment program being implemented this year. As a result, 600 workplaces will be created by the end of 2017.

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan noted "To contribute the expansion projects, creation of new workplaces the assistance will be provided from the Ministry. We are hopeful that this investment program will help to some extent to solve problem of employment, especially among women in the region".

The Minister discussed precise format and amount of state support to be given to the company from state support toolset with Bagration Darbinyan. The investment program will be launched in coming days.

Suren Karayan also interested in volumes of the company and was informed, that in 2016 the company has produced AMD 2.1 billion product, which has been exported, recording 9.6% increase in production and exports.
