On April 5, within the framework of Government-Private sector dialogue platform, a meeting with the Co-Chairmen of Light Industry Employers’ Union took place at the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA.

The discussion was run by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Tigran Khachatryan.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister represented joint activity implemented with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) aimed at the development of the sector, as well as development of the main directions essential for progress of the sector.

The sides spoke on the problems of the sector and possible ways of their solution, particularly the importance of personnel training, establishment of trade houses abroad, organizing international contests and conferences in Armenia and abroad, action plan development.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister Tigran Khachatryan offered the Heads of Light Industry Employers’ Union to present clear and reasonable suggestions and programs relating to each issue indicating the possible format of Government participation.
