Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan met the representatives of the jewelry industry within the framework of public-private sector dialogue platform.

"The growth recorded in jewelry industry is encouraging; however the development potential is not being fully realized", said Minister Karayan.

According to Suren Karayan a regular meeting is an opportunity to discuss how the state and the private sector will cooperate, how to move forward for the development of jewelry industry.

Suren Karayan proposed the businessmen to present their problems.

The representatives of sector presented to the Minister the priority issues, which were mainly related to the issues of labeling, capturing a new markets, as well as simplification of custom procedures.

Minister Karayan proposed to discuss "Single window” principle in airports for entities of jewelry sector, which can essentially facilitate their activities.

Simon Kafalyan, director of «Agobian Jewelry» company in his speech noted, "This is our third or fourth meeting, not the first. After every meeting a lot of things have changed. As for "Single window” principle, its introduction can really help a lot". Simon Kafalyan informed that this year they will increase their production volumes.
