Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan met the representatives of the diamond cutting sector within the framework of public-private sector dialogue platform.

During the meeting Minister Karayan noted that the activities with private sector are very important for the Ministry and proposed to address the issues facing the sector.

The representatives of the sector discussed with the Minister possibilities of increasing volumes of raw material and increasing efficiency, as well as prospects of getting alternative raw material.

The representative of the sector noted that in parallel with development of the sector necessity of education and trainings for workforce will arise. They also discussed the solutions to this problem.

Suren Karayan suggested the representatives of the sector to study the prospects of self-governance, self-organization, as well as carrying out joint activities.
