On April 19, press conference of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan took place. Deputy Minister represented the activity of the Ministry implemented in investment policy.

Brief information on the activity carried out on investment policy within 6 months.

A number of legislative reforms have been initiated: new edition of draft laws on "Foreign Investment" and "Free economic zones have been developed.

62 investment projects have been introduced by the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA, which implementation will enable to create 6215 workplaces. As the result, 471 million USD will be invested in 2017.

By April 2017, 63.5 million USD have been invested creating 1807 workplaces as a result of the implementation of some of the mentioned 62 projects.

The platform of investment projects has been launched. 50 investment projects are available on the platform with 2.7 billion USD total cost.

Activity is being carried out in the creation of Pan-Armenian investment fund, as well as investment funds between Armenia and Russia, Armenia and the UAE.

Activity on the creation of free economic zone in Syunik has been launched and the agreement with the organizer has been signed.

During the last 6 months, activity has been carried out to represent investment opportunities and favorable environment of Armenia in other countries. Armenia-Iran, Armenia-UAE, Armenia-France investment forums took place.
