Armenian Minister of Economic Development participates in Beijing’s Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation

The Armenian delegation to Beijing’s May 14 Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation comprised Suren Karayan, Minister of Economic Development and Investments, and his deputy Hovhannes Azizyan.

Minister Karayan participated in the plenary session and the panel discussions on "Promoting unrestricted trade" and "Promoting financial integration". The Minister held meetings and discussions with several of his counterparts of various countries. During the conference Karayan also met with executives of different national corporations, and discussed the prospects of investing in Armenia. Leaders of 29 countries, representatives of governments of 130 countries, 70 international organizations and other corporations participate in the conference.

During the conference have been discussed plans to create trade routes, which will pass "Silk Road" routes.
