On May 17, with the initiative of Belgian Armenian Chamber of Commerce, B2B session took place in Yerevan joined by numerous businessmen from Armenia, Belgium and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan.
Speaking about the cooperation between Armenia and Belgium, Hovhannes Azizyan mentioned, “Trade turnover volumes with Belgium are not so high, but we think that Belgian capital should be interested in investing in Armenia. The officials of the Ministry represented the investment environment of Armenia.”
The Chairman of Belgian Armenian Chamber of Commerce Valéry Safarian delivered presentation on the activity of Belgian Armenian Chamber of Commerce mentioning that the main goal of the Chamber is to activate Belgian-Armenian business cooperation and contribute to the realization of the investment intentions of entrepreneurs. They are operating in the fields of chocolate and confectionery manufacturing, mining, biometric passports and ID cards printing, etc., and are interested in implementing activity in Armenia.
Valéry Safarian added that businessmen from Congo are interested in cooperating with the Armenian manufacturers and exporters.
During the meeting the parties represented their business plans and ideas, exchanged views on prospects of cooperation.
