On May 29, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan received the President of “Arton Capital” company Armand Arton, Vice-President of Business Development Emil Shahmooradian, licensed attorney Sam Bayat and a number of representatives of company’s expert group.

They arrived in Armenia within the framework of invitation of International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) which carries out the project “Support to Migration and Border Management” in Armenia funded by the European Union.

Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan said that the Government of Armenia stresses the importance of improving the investment environment, the legislative field, promoting investments, mainly, foreign direct investments, creation of new workplaces, strengthening the country’s competitive advantages and the steps ensuring economic development based on this, and added that the development of the abovementioned strategy can become an impulse for attracting investments in Armenia.

Hovhannes Azizyan also stressed the role and experience of “Arton Capital” company on researching the international experience in that field which can be very useful to develop more effective model for Armenia.

During the meeting a number of issues relating to procedures on citizenship granting, their deadlines, selection of more appropriate model for Armenia, etc. were discussed with the representatives of “Arton Capital” company.
