On May 29, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the delegation of businessmen from Saint Petersburg to discuss opportunities of cooperation. The visit was organized by the initiative of Foreign Relations Committee of St. Petersburg. The delegation was composed of the representatives from companies “Vozrozhdenie”, “Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod”, “Gerofarm”, “Agropolis”, etc.

The representative of the "Agropolis" center represented the activity of the company to the Minister, noting that they are interested in cooperating with the Armenian companies, particularly in the sphere of agricultural products and processed food. The businessman mentioned that the label “Made in Armenia” is very demanded in Russia. Minister Karayan discussed the prospects of establishment of joint import and export organization with the businessmen.

The representative of “Geropharm” company noted that their company is engaged in medicine development and production. According to the businessman, their company is interested in establishing production in Meghri free economic zone. Minister Karayan introduced the advantages of launching business in Meghri free economic zone, as well as the opportunities of the preferential trade regimes. The Minister added that the Government is ready to assist the businessmen in different issues.

Cooperation opportunities were discussed with all the representatives of the Russian companies.
