The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF). The Resident Representative of IMF for Armenia Teresa Daban Sanchez introduced Yulia Ustyugova who will replace her in that position two months later. Yulia Ustyugova represented the expectations of her activity in Armenia.

The representatioves of IMF discussed further cooperation prospects with Suren Karayan.

The Minister stressed the willingness to develop cooperation with IMF and added, “All the sectors in which IMF cooperates with Armenia have a direct impact on our economy, including fiscal, monetary policy, business environment improvement, etc.”

Minister Karayan greeted Yulia Ustyugova and expressed confidence that the future cooperation will be effective.

The representatives of the International Monetary Fund asked the Minister about the economic component of the new program of the Government. Suren Karayan represented the main economic targets and goals of the program.
