On June 29, Armenian-Georgian business forum has launched in Yerevan, which was attended by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia.
Greeting the guests, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan stressed the importance of the business forum for further development of friendly relations and economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as for the perspective of discovering new opportunities for businessmen. “Over the years, working together with Georgia on both bilateral and multilateral platforms as a common region, we have passed through a series of events, multiplied and strengthened the ties that we inherited from the history,” said Minister Karayan.
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia expressed hope that such meetings will take place more often and will be more effective, added, “Today we have run many discussions and we are convinced that there is no political issue between both countries. We are partners, neighbours and friends. Now we have to put all our efforts to strengthen further economic relations.”
120 organizations, representatives of chambers of commerce and industry, and other officials from Armenia and 40 from Georgia participated in the business forum. Opportunities of bilateral cooperation have been discussed.
