On July 3, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Mojtaba Khosrowtaj.

Minister Karayan greeted Mojtaba Khosrowtaj, expressed gratitude for the visit and informed that the agreements reached during the previous meeting are in the process of implementation and there is a progress in all directions. Suren Karayan stressed the importance of cooperation between Armenia and Iran in the field of export insurance and correspondence with interstate standards.

Mojtaba Khosrowtaj agreed with the Minister and added that the operative groups created for revealing and solving existing problems of exporters of two countries are working effectively.

“Your visit and our meeting are also one of the steps for implementing the reached arrangements. I am glad to see the representatives of agricultural machinery production and sales companies in the delegation. I am confident that effective cooperation will be formed in this direction as well,” mentioned Suren Karayan. During the meeting, the businessmen presented Iranian agricultural machinery, variety, capacities, accessibility and other details.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of RA Robert Makaryan delivered information on demand for agricultural machinery in Armenia. The Deputy Minister also represented Government agricultural programs, in particular, the state agricultural machinery leasing program on which cooperation can be implemented.

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan offered the companies from Iran to organize discussions with the Development Foundation of Agriculture of RA.
