On july 7, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia Igor Nazaruk.

Suren Karayan and Igor Nazaruk discussed issues on increasing the Armenian-Belarusian trade turnover. The ambassador pointed out that there is a tendency of growth, and the Belarusian side is ready to boost trade turnover with all the effective means. The Minister and Ambassador exchanged views on implementation of import substitution policy within Eurasian Economic Union.

The parties also discussed organizational issues on Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental session. An arrangement was reached to hold it in the fall of 2017. The involvement of business circles in this context was discussed. Suren Karayan stressed that the cooperation between the businessmen of the two countries and exchange of necessary experience are extremely important.
