Suren Karayan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Iceland to Armenia

On July 11, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to the Republic of Armenia Berglind Asgeirsdottir. Suren Karayan congratulated the Ambassador on appointment and wished her success in her diplomatic mission. The Minister discussed possible options for boosting commercial and economic relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the sides particularly touched upon the tourism sector. The Ambassador offered to exchange experiences and programs of the sector as tourism is one of the priorities for both Armenia and Iceland.

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan represented the advantages of making investments in Armenia and the steps taken by the Government to improve the investment environment to the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to the Republic of Armenia Berglind Asgeirsdottir. Minister pointed out that it is necessary to establish contacts between the business circles of Armenia and Iceland to stimulate trade and economic ties and trade turnover.
