The format of the activity of the Armenian-Iranian operative group on investment and trade has been clarified

On July 24, the regular meeting of the Armenian-Iranian operative group on investment and trade took place. The meeting was run by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan.

During the meeting, the format of the further activities of the operative group, the scope of objectives and the steps to be taken have been discussed.

Hovhannes Azizyan mentioned that one of the problems of the Operative Group should be the involvement of Iranian businessmen in Armenia and informed that they are already preparing a package of information for transferring investment opportunities, existing privileges and state programs to the Iranian side. “The group should also discover the problems the Iranian businessmen are facing in Armenia, quickly respond to any question and find means to resolve them,” added Hovhannes Azizyan.

During the meeting the organizational issues of the Armenia-Iran-EU Investment Forum on September 15, as well as the exhibition of Iranian products in Armenia on September 22-25 were discussed.

During the meeting, the working procedure for further cooperation was established and an agreement was reached to prepare and spread a statement on the operative group activity both in Armenia and Iran.
