The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation Vardan Toghanyan, Adviser to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Gagik Mkrtchyan and Trade Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation Karen Asoyan met Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexei Moiseev in Moscow to discuss the opportunities of expanding the cooperation between Armenia and Russia in jewelry and diamond industry.

During the meeting the parties discussed the issue of increasing the efficiency of diamond raw material supply from “Alrosa” and “Gokhran.” Issues of mutual recognition of state hallmarking and assertion have also been discussed.

The officials discussed the latest approaches of solving the issues and applying new mechanisms. Arrangement was reached to take practical steps within a short period. According to the Adviser to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Gagik Mkrtchyan, the implementation of arrangements will ensure the continuation of the increase of the field.
