On September 7, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the delegation headed by the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Gleb Nikitin.

Suren Karayan and Gleb Nikitin discussed prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of industry.

The First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Gleb Nikitin stressed that the cooperation with the Armenian side is one of their priorities.

The sides touched upon the process of implementation of the agreements reached on provision of agricultural machinery.

Minister Karayan noted that the potential of cooperation especially in the field of radioelectronics is great and it is necessary to take steps in this direction.

Suren Karayan and Gleb Nikitin discussed cooperation in light industry sector. Gleb Nikitin mentioned that the establishment and export of joint products to the third countries will be effective. The sides agreed to create a platform for dialogue between business circles of the two countries in the field of light industry to discuss the possibilities of joint cooperation at the practical level.

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments represented the opportunities being given to the producers who want to implement activity in Meghri free economic zone.
