The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the delegation headed by the World Bank’s Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Europe and Central Asia Mercy Tembon. Mercy Tembon represented the newly appointed Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia Sylvie Bossoutrot.

The Minister congratulated the Country Manager, expressing hope that the effective cooperation between the World Bank and the Ministry will be continued. The Minister stressed the investment of the World Bank in the institutional reforms implemented in Armenia and the support of the World Bank in the global financial and economic ecosystem. The minister expressed hope that with the support of the World Bank, efforts will be made to ensure Armenia's economic stability.

The World Bank’s Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Europe and Central Asia Mercy Tembon mentioned that the energy and efforts of the Government of Armenia towards reforms is inspiring.

Suren Karayan discussed the investment attraction and export promotion policies with the World Bank delegation.

The parties highlighted the importance of working with the private sector and agreed to conduct more detailed discussions in the future.
