On September 26, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier.

The Ambassador mentioned, “Thank you and the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, because you have always been eager to help French businessmen and investors. Before leaving, I would definitely want to meet you.”

The Minister and the Ambassador discussed recent successful projects of the Armenian-French economic cooperation, including projects initiated by Business France, cooperation with the French Development Agency and a number of private projects, stressing the need for their continuity.

During the meeting, Suren Karayan and Jean-Francois Charpentier touched upon trade turnover between Armenia and France. The sides confirmed that efforts should be made to increase trade turnover volumes. Special attention was also paid to the expansion of cooperation in the tourism sector.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his role in strengthening of the Armenian-French relations and, in particular, the development of economic cooperation and wished him success in his further activity.
