On October 2, the event on the International Day of Tourism organized by the State Committee for Tourism of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA took place at Megerian Carpet Showroom.

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan congratulated the guests on the occasion of the International Day of Tourism and 20th Anniversary of Armenia's accession to the UN World Tourism Organization and mentioned that the structure is an important platform to share experiences and knowledge on tourism and integrate into the global tourism community.

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan and the Chairperson of the State Committee for Tourism of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA Zarmine Zeitountsian congratulated the representatives of tourism sector and handed state awards to individuals and organizations that made a significant contribution to the tourism sector.

The embassies of Egypt, Argentina, Poland, the United Arab Emirates and Japan in the Republic of Armenia presented their culture and tourism opportunities during the event.

A number of tourism sector representatives, Government officials and representatives of international organizations attended the ceremony.
