Such meetings are good opportunities to develop existing economic relations, as well as to guide new areas of cooperation. The meetings of experts from both sides have already taken place, within the framework of which representatives of different sectors had the opportunity to exchange information on economic programs, as well as to discuss and make effective arrangements for the establishment and deepening of bilateral economic and business relations that will eventually turn into a long-term and economically beneficial cooperation.”
Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania Mindaugas Sinkevičius stressed that it is important to actively use this format to make the two countries closer and added, “We want to continue our cooperation with Armenia. I urge you to study and use all the opportunities for the further development of economic ties.”
During the meeting the prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania in trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other spheres of mutual interest have been discussed.
At the end of the session the Co-Chairmen of the Commission Suren Karayan and Mindaugas Sinkevičius signed the protocol of the 2nd session of the Armenian-Lithuanian Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation which defines the directions of further cooperation.
