Suren Karayan signed a Memorandum of cooperation in science and technology sectors

On October 9, within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of RA Karen Karapetyan to Iran, several agreements have been signed.

A memorandum of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been signed by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan and Vice-President of Science and Technology of Iran Sorena Sattari with the participation of the Prime Minister of RA Karen Karapetyan and First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Es’haq Jahangiri.

It is stated in the Memorandum that the Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology of Iran and the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA, within the framework of their competence, will promote bilateral cooperation in the field of science and technology and exchange of experience in areas of mutual interest in different areas of nanotechnology.

The parties will cooperate to facilitate technology sharing between universities and organizations of both countries.

It is intended to support the education of nanotechnology at the university and high school levels, including training and infrastructure necessary for educational and research laboratories. The parties will also collaborate in the field of joint trainings, conferences, seminars and exchange of scientists in the sector of nanotechnology.

According to the Memorandum, the parties will establish a joint working commission, which will develop annual programs of cooperation. Meetings of the working committee will be regular and will be followed by future actions, exchange of experience and progress registered in the Memorandum implementation process.
