Suren Karayan discussed the tourism program in Kalavan village

On October 15, the delegation headed by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan, accompanied by the Governor of Gegharkunik Region Karen Botoyan, visited Kalavan village to get acquainted with the details of Kalavan tourism project.

In his speech, the Minister noted that he is impressed by Kalavan project and came to personally get acquainted with the tourism potential of the village and the problems of the project. Suren Karayan stressed the willingness to support the project team in bringing these interesting ideas into reality.

The Head of “Time Land” foundation Robert Ghukaasyan and his friends represented Kalavan development program to the Minister with its educational, agricultural and tourism components.

The development program of Chambarak community has also been presented to the Minister with a three-dimensional presentation.

The delegation headed by the Minister toured with the Kalavan Project Officers, visiting newly-built guesthouses, which will soon be hosted by visitors. Some of them have been funded by the SME Development National Center of Armenia.

Tourism interests and entertainment options for tourists have also been presented.

Robert Ghukasyan noted that more than one third of the project has been implemented, but there is still much to do in the village. According to him, their goal is to ensure the development and well-being of all the families of the community. Robert Ghukasyan added that direct contact with the population and the environment mostly attracts foreign tourists.
