The session of the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission took place

On October 19-21, the delegation headed by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan visited Minsk to take part in the 13th Session of the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. The delegation was composed of the Minister of Agriculture of RA Ignati Arakelyan.

On October 20, 13th Session of the Commission took place headed by the Co-Chairmen of the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan from the Armenian side and the Minister of Forestry of Belarus Mikhail Amelianovich from the Belarusian side.

During the sitting the prospects of bilateral cooperation, the course of implementation of the arrangements reached during the previous session and issues related to further cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest have been discussed.

At the end of the session the signing ceremony of session protocol was held.

The cooperation between the two countries in trade, industry, agriculture, transport, health, culture, education and science, emergency situations sectors, as well as cooperation between the regions of two countries is emphasized in the protocol. The necessity of active use of the EAEU tools for increasing the commodity turnover between Armenia and Belarus, implementation of mutually beneficial projects, taxation, customs and cooperation, simplification and regulation of procedures in all other spheres, as well as the full use of the “Meghri” free economic zone for the purpose of activating joint projects in the field of industrial cooperation has been stressed.

The parties noted with satisfaction that the protocol of the 13th session with its content differs from the previous sessions, creating greater opportunities for developing relations between the two countries in the trade and economic spheres.
