The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Council of Representatives of Iraq Abdelbari Al-Zibari, as well as the members of Iraq-Armenia parliamentary friendship groups.
Minister Karayan said that despite the economic relations between the two countries have a tendency to grow, there is still a great potential for the development of trade and economic relations.
Abdelbari Al-Zibari, agreeing with the Minister, noted that they are also not satisfied with the current economic indicators and suggested to unite efforts to ensure their growth, including in the field of tourism. The Iraqi official added that it is necessary to take steps to make Iraqi tourists more active in the streets of Yerevan, as the Iraqi people treat Armenians very well and appreciate Armenian hospitality. “The Armenian community in Iraq has always been distinguished by business, cultural and other talent,” he said.
