The meeting of the working group on the establishment of productive mechanisms for the development of food trade between Armenia and Russia has held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA.

The meeting was run by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan and attended by the heads and representatives of interested agencies, other government agencies, private organizations, companies and officials from Saint Petersburg “Agropolis North-West” company, “Agropark Management” company as well as officials from LFA Consulting Company.

Hovhannes Azizyan welcomed the participants of the session and noted that the increase of export volumes is one of the most important issues of the Armenian economy and the Government is working consistently to find new opportunities for exporting Armenian products. The Deputy Minister expressed satisfaction with the mutual interest with the Russian partners in this issue and offered to discuss in detail the format of possible cooperation.

Managing Partner, Executive Director of LFA Andrey Khlus represented the process of development of the agrologistic system in Russia to his Armenian colleagues. The General Director of “Agropolis North-West”, together with the Managing Partner of “Agropark Management” Alexey Yuriev represented the project of the managing center “Agropark Samara”, the launch of which is planned in the summer of 2018.

During the session the prospects of creating effective mechanisms for the development of food trade on the basis of the “Agropark Samara” Center were discussed. The parties agreed to provide each other with the necessary information for the effective organization of further joint activity.
