The Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Hovhannes Azizyan received the business delegation from Bulgaria. The Delegation was composed of the Secretary to the President of Bulgaria for Economic Development and Investment issues, Executive Director of SME Agency, representatives of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Issues related to the development of Armenian-Bulgarian economic cooperation have been discussed during the meeting. According to the Deputy Minister, the trade turnover volume between Armenia and Bulgaria is high but it is necessary to diversify the export. Hovhannes Azizyan briefly represented the economic indicators of Armenia, preferential markets, the opportunities of “Meghri” free economic zone and added that the establishment of joint industrial cooperation may be promising.
The sides discussed cooperation opportunities in pharmaceutical, mineral waters and alcoholic beverages production as well as the cooperation of the two countries in the sphere of tourism.
At the end of the meeting an arrangement has been reached to continue the cooperation in the format of B2B meetings and official visits.
