Suren Karayan discussed the ongoing projects with the delegation of the World Bank

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the delegation headed by the Manager of Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice in Latin America and the Caribbean of the World Bank Marialisa Motta.

During the meeting, issues related to the priorities and further steps of World Bank’s “Trade Promotion and Quality Infrastructures” program components have been discussed.

Marialisa Motta expressed satisfaction with the ongoing project implementation and emphasized the importance of further active cooperation.

Suren Karayan mentioned that the program is of key importance for the economy of Armenia as it targets improving trade and quality infrastructure, which is an important part of the Armenian Government's agenda on export-oriented economy formation.

The sides also exchanged views on the project “Digital Economy: Armenia”. The possible role of the World Bank in the development of the “Innovation Development Strategy” document has also been discussed.
