Suren Karayan and Seyed Kazem Sadjadi discussed economic cooperation development prospects between Armenia and Iran

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi to discuss economic cooperation development prospects between Armenia and Iran. During the meeting the Minister and the Ambassador touched upon the results and steps taken during the last year in Armenian-Iranian economic relations, as well as discussed the upcoming activities.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia mentioned that the visa-free regime between the two countries promotes not only the growth of tourism, but also the business trips of businessmen, promoting business contacts.

Suren Karayan and Seyed Kazem Sadjadi discussed the prospects of access of the Iranian businesses in Armenia as well as the options for attracting and encouraging Iranian business in the free economic zone in Meghri. The importance of directing the Armenian producer to enter the Iranian market has been stressed.

Suren Karayan represented all the events that will be held for Iranian tourists in Armenia during Nowruz holidays and added, “We always stand for the development of economic ties between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union. We are currently working on that direction. I want to say that we are ready to become an effective platform for Iranian businessmen to the Eurasian Economic Union market.
