The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lebanese Republic to the Republic of Armenia Maya Dagher.

During the meeting, Minister Karayan said that his last visit to Lebanon was effective and meetings with businessmen, his counterparts, the Lebanese President and the Prime Minister had taken place.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lebanese Republic to the Republic of Armenia noted that Lebanese investors feel the state's support in Armenia, and there are successful examples. According to the Ambassador, it is necessary to strengthen the Armenian-Lebanese business ties on this positive basis. Minister Karayan assured that the Ministry is always open to Lebanese businessmen and their problems will be responded.

Maya Dagher and Suren Karayan discussed the perspectives of Armenian-Lebanese cooperation in the field of industry, in particular, touching upon the prospects of cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Industry of Lebanon.

The sides also exchanged views on tourism familiarization trips, marketing activities. Suren Karayan noted that the activities are being implemented with the Minister of Tourism of Lebanon Avetis Kitanyan to promote the cooperation of the two countries in the tourism sector, taking into consideration the cultural similarities existing between Armenia and Lebanon.
