Suren Karayan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Korea to Armenia

On March 20, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Armenia Woo Yoon-keun. The Minister congratulated the Ambassador and wished him good luck.

During the meeting, the sides mentioned that despite the increase of trade turnover between Armenia and Korea, there is still considerable potential for trade-economic cooperation and it is necessary to take steps in this direction.

The possible cooperation directions between Korea and EAEU have been discussed. The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Armenia touched upon the activity towards the Agreement on Encouragement of Investments and Mutual Protection between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Korea.

The possibilities of cooperation in the sphere of tourism have also been discussed during the meeting.

The sides stressed that the decision on the exemption of Korean citizens visiting Armenia from the visa requirement may stimulate the cooperation between the two countries in the tourism sector and increase the number of tourist visits.
