The Acting Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Ivan Volynkin who finishes diplomatic mission in Armenia.

During the meeting Suren Karayan mentioned that Ivan Volynkin had an important contribution to the strengthening of the Armenian-Russian economic relations and expressed gratitude for his contribution.

The sides underlined that during the recent years Eurasian integration processes have been succeeded. Suren Karayan and Ivan Volynkin also positively assessed the indicators of trade between the two countries, adding that there is still unrealized potential. In this context, the steps taken in the industry, as well as the opportunities for the common export and import substitution from third countries have been discussed.

Ivan Volynkin mentioned that positive tendencies are also registered in the sphere of tourism. According to the Ambassador, Russian tourists are more interested in Armenia as a tourism destination year after year.

At the end of the meeting, Ivan Volynkin expressed gratitude to the Acting Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan for cooperation.
