On May 24, the delegation Headed by the Chairperson of the State Committee for Tourism of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA Zarmine Zeitountsian made a three-day official visit to the Republic of Artsakh. The Delegation was composed of the Executive Director of Armenian Tourism Development Foundation Ara Khzmalyan and the Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee for Tourism of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA Mekhak Apresyan.

On May 25, the Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh Sergey Shahverdyan and the Chairperson of the State Committee for Tourism of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA Zarmine Zeitountsian signed a Memorandum of Understanding in tourism sector.

The signing of the memorandum will contribute to the cooperation between public and private sectors in the field of tourism, such as tourism industry statistics, tourism information exchange, promotional materials, international tourism exhibitions, fairs, conferences, seminars and other cultural and tourism events, in particular, tourism management and marketing, as well as hotel business governance, development and cooperation among investors, tourism and other non-profit organizations.

After the signing of the Memorandum, the journalists asked questions to the tourism sector officials.

Zarmine Zeitountsian mentioned that tourism opportunities in Armenia and Artsakh are much more than they we realize and expressed hope that joint efforts will make Armenia and Artsakh more attractive for tourists.
