On June 5, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Artsvik Minasyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia Judith Margareth Farnworth.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the Minister represented the process of reforms carried out by the Ministry, spoke about the improvement of the competition area, the fight against corruption and the enhancement of transparency of the economy.

Referring to the promotion of business contacts and attraction of investments, Artsvik Minasyan represented a number of reforms being implemented in the sphere on investor protection and investment insurance. In a number of directions, the Minister stressed the importance of the assistance and support of the British Government.

The Ambassador Judith Margareth Farnworth congratulated the Minister on his appointment and expressed the UK Government's support for the reforms carried out by the Armenian Government, highlighting the steps taken in concrete directions, the evidence of which is also the visit of representatives of the British companies to Armenia and the upcoming meeting of investors with relevant bodies.

The sides also discussed economic long-term and short-term projects, infrastructure upgrades and a number of other issues.
